Agree this is very frustrating. I think part of the problem is that this recurring event was set up by someone else I was invited to it but the event (a weekly meeting) no longer applies. They have canceled it but it is still in my calendar. ![]() Just keep getting the 'server error' message telling me to try again. I've also tried deleting direct in iCloud with all subscribed accounts turned off. Tried it via Google Chrome and Safari (since one comment string seemed to indicate the browser could play a part). Unit tests in visual studio. Finally moved the activity to its own calendar and then turned that calendar off on my devices so I don't see it. Its still there - just not seen. In my case, the offending recurring meeting was on the IPhone calendar (Called “Calendar”) not the ICloud. I was lucky it was the only entry in the calendar so I tried deleting the whole calendar however there was no visible « delete » command. So I added a new calendar (tap Edit tap add calendar) This time when I went back to “Calendar” (Tap the red ℹ) “ delete calendar” was available at the bottom of the page. I guess if you can move the event to a new calendar, and delete this calendar, you can fix this annoying thing. The answer is correct, but should be a little more detailed to fix everyones problem concerning different calendars from different services. Go to settings/icloud and disable contacts and calendars as well.
